It's a shame that Americans with darker skin than me have been conditioned to believe that they must stick together to the point that they are willing to sacrifice their thoughts, standards, beliefs, conscience, and ideals just so they will be thought of kindly by the very people who would jettison them for the thoughts, standards, beliefs, conscience, and ideals that they hold. It's a shame they live under that torment.
I have been voting against white people for years. It's no big deal. I also voted for a black man to be President long before anyone heard of Barack Obama. Perhaps, some day, people of all ethnic backgrounds will vote based on their beliefs (hopefully righteous) and not on account of the color of one's skin.
I really appreciated reading this and agreed with him so much EXCEPT, I was not so easily/completely convinced that righteousness is not at stake when you're making decisions about the economy, war and health care...
